About The Role This role is contingent upon contract award and is not an immediate opening. We are actively conducting interviews and may extend offers in anticipation of the contract finalization, with start dates dependent on the finalization process. The Junior Copywriter will play a vital role in developing compelling ideas and translating them into impactful copy across various formats and channels. This position requires a creative thinker who understands the importance of strategic storytelling and can collaborate closely with art directors and other team members from the inception of ideas through execution. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for craft, and the ability to craft clear, engaging, and effective messages that align with client objectives. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to integrated campaigns that make a difference in public health, energy, climate, and other critical sectors, working within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in copywriting or content creation
  • Strong ability to develop ideas and concepts beyond just writing copy
  • Proficiency in creating content across multiple formats including headlines, scripts, and systems
  • Experience partnering with art directors and designers to shape creative ideas from inception
  • Understanding of how campaigns operate across various channels and moments
  • Exceptional language instincts, storytelling skills, and structural awareness
  • Curiosity about people, culture, and current trends
  • High standards for craft, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to take feedback constructively and push work further
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate ideas clearly

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative ideas and concepts that serve as the foundation for integrated campaigns
  • Translate insights into compelling, scalable content across multiple channels and formats
  • Write and edit copy for a variety of deliverables including headlines, scripts, digital content, and systems
  • Collaborate closely with art directors, strategists, and other team members to shape and refine creative concepts
  • Build and maintain a consistent voice and tone that aligns with client brand guidelines and campaign objectives
  • Present ideas and work-in-progress to team members and clients, incorporating feedback effectively
  • Ensure the quality, clarity, and effectiveness of all written content
  • Stay informed about cultural trends and audience preferences to inform creative development
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement
