As a Remote Customer Service Representative for our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will be a critical link between patients receiving life‑sustaining specialty medications and the complex network of insurers, providers, and internal teams that make those therapies possible. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous, knowledgeable telephone support to patients initiating or continuing specialty drug therapy.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verification of benefits and eligibility.
  • Enter prescription information accurately into the pharmacy information system, ensuring all data is complete and error‑free.
  • Communicate copay amounts, collect payments, and assist patients with financial counseling when needed.
  • Obtain prior authorizations, work closely with insurance companies, and resolve any clinical or accounts‑receivable issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—pharmacists, clinical specialists, and operations staff—to screen orders, identify potential barriers, and expedite resolution.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
  • Escalate complex cases to senior staff while providing clear, concise summaries of the issue and actions taken.
  • Continuously update knowledge of specialty drug therapies, insurance formularies, and evolving health‑care regulations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a high‑volume customer service role, preferably handling complex inquiries over the phone.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to type accurately and efficiently, with a solid keyboarding skill set.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • Residency in Michigan and location within 75 miles of 1307 Allen Dr, Suite H, Troy, MI.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in health‑care, pharmacy, or insurance environments.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, prescription processing, and benefits verification.
  • Experience using pharmacy management or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex insurance benefit structures and resolve billing discrepancies.
