Position Overview

careerzynith is seeking independent contractors who are enthusiastic, tech‑savvy, and eager to deliver top‑notch assistance to our customers during the busiest time of the year. As a Remote Customer Support Representative, you will be the first point of contact for users navigating our tax‑preparation software. You will guide them through software features, locate prior returns, handle amendments, and, when necessary, escalate complex issues to senior specialists. This role is seasonal, running from January through April 15, 2024, and offers the flexibility to work between 7 am and 11 pm CST, Monday through Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, professional phone support, including video chat, to help customers resolve software navigation challenges.
  • Respond to live chat inquiries, delivering clear, concise solutions in real time.
  • Assist customers in locating prior tax returns, amendments, and related documents within the careerzynith platform.
  • Escalate unresolved or complex cases to senior support staff while maintaining ownership of the customer experience.
  • Document each interaction accurately in the ticketing system, ensuring compliance with careerzynith quality standards.
  • Identify recurring issues and share insights with the product and training teams to improve the overall user experience.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge by completing ongoing training modules and staying up‑to‑date with software updates.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours, ensuring availability during peak demand periods and meeting productivity targets.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated passion for helping customers and a sincere desire to resolve their concerns.

Compensation & Incentive Structure

careerzynith offers a tiered earnings model designed to reward dedication and productivity during the high‑volume tax season:

  • Base hourly rate up to $19 per hour.
  • Additional $3–$5 per hour for exceeding 12–20 productive hours on April 8‑11, 2024.
  • Extra $5 per hour for surpassing 20 productive hours on April 12‑14, 2024.
  • Peak bonus of $10 per hour for any contractor who works more than 5 productive hours on April 15, 2024 (Tax Day).
  • Average earnings for high‑performing contractors range between $16‑$19 per hour during peak periods and $15.60‑$17.50 per hour during non‑peak periods.
  • All contractors are guaranteed a minimum of 45 minutes of paid time for each hour worked, provided they are available for the full 60 minutes.
