Key Responsibilities

As a Back Office/Data Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Comparing data with source documents to detect errors and discrepancies
  • Re-entering data in verification formats to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Compiling, sorting, and verifying data to ensure its accuracy and completeness
  • Maintaining logbooks of activities and completed work to track progress and identify areas for improvement
  • Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities, and checking output to ensure quality and accuracy

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy (at least 40 wpm)
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and data programs (e.g., Excel, Access)
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Experience with data management software and systems
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
