Experienced Cement Dispatch & Customer Service Representative – Remote Opportunity at careerzynith

Job Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for processing customer and driver inquiries, determining the best delivery methods, and negotiating rates with vendors and customers. You will also work closely with haulers, customers, and vendors/suppliers to ensure the highest levels of service, satisfaction, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Cement Dispatch & Customer Service Representative at careerzynith, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing customer, driver, and hauler inquiries and orders using our dispatch system
  • Determining the best delivery methods and negotiating rates directly with vendors and customers
  • Scheduling orders in a timely and efficient manner to maximize efficiency and profitability
  • Managing hauler relationships, paperwork collection, and order processing
  • Working with customers to adjust truck demand to meet proper delivery rates
  • Determining callouts for the next day
  • Regular attendance and physical presence at work is an essential function of this position
  • Performing additional duties as required to meet business needs

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of the Chicagoland & NWI/WI area
  • Minimum of 2 years of dispatch experience
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish and Polish (preferred)
  • Ability to make quick decisions that meet established goals when under pressure
  • Read and understand maps
  • Remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • Communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers and be an effective problem solver
  • Good computer skills and general knowledge of Sales and Dispatch software

Working Conditions:

As a Cement Dispatch & Customer Service Representative at careerzynith, you will work in a professional office environment with:

  • Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets
  • Extensive email, messaging, and phone communication
  • Customer contact, driver management, and daily dispatching may result in stressful situations
  • Handle extended hours during peak season / as business deems necessary
  • Varied work schedule – split coverage during peak demands. Generally, office hours during season 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM Monday -Friday, periodic Saturdays (6AM -2PM), Off season 7:30AM-3:30 PM Monday -Friday

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include:

  • Extended periods of sitting in a chair, occasional standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, grabbing, and pulling
  • Frequent use of fingers, wrists, and hands to enter data using a keyboard
  • Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
