Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist - Healthcare, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Medical Collections: Accurately and efficiently manage medical collections, ensuring timely and accurate billing and payment.
  • Responding to Telephone Inquiries: Utilize standard procedures and scripts to respond to inbound and outbound telephone inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Gathering Information and Resolving Customer Inquiries: Gather relevant information, perform research, and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicating Options for Resolution: Clearly communicate options for resolution to customers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Informing Customers/Patients about Services: Educate customers and patients about available services, assessing their needs and providing personalized support.
  • Scheduling Work and Prioritizing Calls: Schedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls, and escalate as required to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Assisting in Planning and Implementing Department Goals: Collaborate with management to plan and implement department goals, making recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Other Duties

As a Customer Service Specialist - Healthcare, you'll also be responsible for:

  • Establishing and Maintaining Effective Working Relationships: Develop and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders, including interdepartmental leadership, education and development, patients, client hospital staff, government representatives, insurance company representatives, vendors, compliance, finance, decision support, and contact management.
  • Performing Other Duties as Assigned: Participate in special projects and initiatives, as assigned by management, to support the growth and success of careerzynith.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma or College Degree from an Accredited College or University
  • Spanish Fluency Preferred
  • Two to Five Years of Industry Experience in Medical Revenue Cycle Management
  • Medical Experience, Either Practical or Classroom Knowledge Needed
  • Proven Understanding of the Medical Revenue Cycle
  • Demonstrated Excellent Verbal, Written, and Interpersonal Communication Skills
  • Demonstrated Knowledge of HIPAA Rules and Regulations
  • Attention to Detail
  • Good Attendance Record
  • Proven Ability to Work Collaboratively in a Team Environment
  • Demonstrated Ability to Perform Work in Alignment with Company Mission and Values
  • Proven PC Proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

As a Customer Service Specialist - Healthcare, you'll work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires:

  • Work Environment: Remote or Office Location
  • Dexterity to Operate Office Equipment: Personal Computer, Keyboard, Mouse, and Telephone
  • Occasional Lifting: Up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to Sit for Extended Periods: With Frequent Bending and Stooping
  • Current, Valid Driver's License or Reliable Transportation: To Commute to/from Work
