Job Summary
We're looking for a highly skilled Data Entry Support Specialist to join our team on a 1-year contract basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of our GIS applications. This is a remote position based in Nashville, TN, and we're looking for someone who is self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
* Proficiency with Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Creating, editing, managing, and publishing GIS feature data, both in a geodatabase environment and on the cloud
- Cartographic design and geospatial analysis methods
- Working knowledge of geospatial analysis methods and ESRI GIS applications development
- Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Supporting the development and maintenance of our GIS applications
- Collaborating with our team to identify and resolve technical issues
- Providing exceptional customer support and ensuring timely delivery of projects
Essential Qualifications
* Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Geography, Earth Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 2 years of relevant work experience in GIS
- Qualifying professional experience in GIS may substitute for the education requirement on a year for year basis, to a maximum of four years
- Qualifying graduate-level coursework in GIS may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year for year basis, to a maximum of two years
Preferred Qualifications
* Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Avenza MAPublisher
- Working knowledge of Arcade and/or JavaScript programming for GIS applications and API's integration
Skills and Competencies
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong understanding of GIS concepts and principles
- Experience with Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Experience with cartographic design and geospatial analysis methods
