• *Job Responsibilities:**

As a Financial Accountant at careerzynith, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• Providing expert guidance to more experienced administrators on financial bookkeeping-related matters
• Performing complex data entry tasks related to record accounts, financial summaries, and administrative reports
• Accumulating and analyzing financial data for financial and administrative reports
• Reviewing information from the general ledger, unit reports, and other financial systems to ensure accuracy
• Preparing and auditing account reconciliations and confirmations
• Investigating projects related to financial bookkeeping strategies, techniques, or systems
• Performing ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal control policies
• Providing practical guidance and training to colleagues on financial bookkeeping matters
• Offering support for consistency and risk management requirements
• Collaborating and communicating with partners throughout the project
• *Required Qualifications:**

• 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, auditing, financial reporting, accounting detailing, or risk reporting, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, education, military experience, or training

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and summarize complex data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and partners
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• *Preferred Qualifications:**

• 2+ years of experience in SEC/administrative quarterly reporting; Fiserv data/knowledge. COSO-based Sarbanes-Oxley internal control assessment execution

• Military experience or auditing experience, including functional management, project management, mission development management, and financial management
• 1+ year of experience in credit card industry reporting; corporate/business loan products knowledge. Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Large 4/provincial public accounting/financial services experience
• Proficiency in Essbase/SmartView, advanced Microsoft Excel with VLOOKUP/pivot tables
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP financial reporting or parts preparation, with the ability to interpret and summarize complex data into actionable insights
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting/detailing/internal control issues
• Ability to decipher and summarize complex data into reasonable, significant data and suggestions
• High-level Microsoft Office skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
