Job Summary We're looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support to join our Revenue Recovery Department. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing specialists to ensure our clients receive the reimbursement they deserve. Key Responsibilities

As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support, you'll be responsible for

• Retrieving patient medical records from various hospital systems
• Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits
• Extracting and entering necessary information from/to hospital patient accounting systems
• Making phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain information needed on patients
• Running and creating reports
• Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team
• Scanning and indexing of documents Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need
• 2+ years of experience in medical record/data entry or a related field
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and healthcare regulations
• Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset
• Experience working in a healthcare revenue integrity or medical records department
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Familiarity with hospital patient accounting systems and EHRs
• Certification in medical records or a related field (e.g., RHIT, CCA)
