Position Summary

As a Part-Time Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems. You will also be responsible for transmitting information or documents using a computer, reading and visually verifying information in various formats, and updating records, files, and reservations. Additionally, you will provide excellent customer service, respond to inquiries, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Key Responsibilities

* Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems

  • Transmit information or documents using a computer
  • Read and visually verify information in various formats (e.g., small print)
  • Enter and retrieve information contained in computer databases using a keyboard, mouse, or trackball
  • Update records, files, reservations, and answer inquiries from guests
  • Verify information in documents or on computer screens for accuracy and completeness
  • Operate standard office equipment other than computers (e.g., telephone, typewriter, fax, photocopier, calculator, and electronic peripherals)
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in data entry or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with data entry software and systems (e.g., CRM, ERP)

  • Knowledge of industry-specific terminology and concepts
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (English and another language)
