Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Remote Specialty Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Transplant to join our team. As a key member of our Specialty Mail Order team, you will be responsible for routing questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion, making outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. Your exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a high-production environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
Responsibilities
* Route questionable prescriptions to the pharmacist for completion
- Make outbound calls/faxing physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and prescription data
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless communication and efficient processing of prescriptions
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices
- Work effectively in a remote environment, utilizing technology to stay connected with the team and manage workload
Qualifications
* 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Pharmacy Tech Certified in the state of GA
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in software applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
Preferred Qualifications
* Specialty pharmacy experience
- Call center experience
- Prescription adjudication experience in order to communicate with prescribers regarding case status and assess prescription claim issues
