Financial Analyst - Hybrid or Remote

Position Summary We are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning and performance analysis in a growing locum tenens organization. This role focuses on provider assignment economics, bill/pay rate structures, and client contract profitability, helping drive informed decisions in a high-revenue, relationship-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and rolling projections
- Build financial models that monitor key cost components impacting profitability
- Analyze revenue drivers including provider days worked, bill rates, and assignment duration
- Track and manage team budgets with leadership throughout the year
- Calculate quarterly/annual bonuses and assist with month end accruals
- Evaluate revenue seasonality tied to hospital demand and provider availability
- Analyze bill rates vs. provider pay rates for physicians and advanced practitioners
- Track gross margin by specialty (e.g., anesthesiology, radiology) and facility
- Manage monthly commission reporting
- Partner with BI Analyst to develop dashboards that provide financial insights for leadership
- Work closely with private equity groups on any financial modeling requests
- Manage Jet Reports for the company, based on accounting needs
- Track and analyze critical locum tenens metrics
- Assist Accounting & Finance with other requests as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or staffing finance
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Familiarity with ATS/CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Bullhorn, NetSuite)
- Strong understanding of high-margin, placement-based revenue models
- Ability to analyze complex cost structures (travel, lodging, malpractice)
- Strong communication and business partnering skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in locum tenens, physician staffing, or healthcare staffing
- Exposure to high-growth or private equity-backed environments.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
