It requires a system data expert with great communication skills and sound judgment. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Assist manager with projects, committees, and activities. Responsible for all HIM activities related to DNB such as identification and follow-up related to incomplete documentation. Run departmental statistics, monitor EHR work queues and report any deficiencies, and missing documentation to the appropriate department. Work with providers and department leadership, to ensure the timely completion of missing documentation elements. Apply understanding of coding workflows and coding flag use to achieve documentation completion in support of the revenue cycle. Assist with the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and educational material related to documentation completion and the DNFB workflow. Generate, interpret, and analyze trends and displays and disseminate information, to support decisions and effect process improvements. Serve as a subject matter expert regarding required documentation elements and content requirements, such as complete physician orders. Identify and process improvements to the HIM/Coding workflow, especially as it relates to missing documentation and DNB.
