GIS Hydrography Specialist Duration: 12+ Months Location: Raleigh, NC (remote role) Pay: $40-45/hr on w2 all-inclusive Support enterprise GIS data maintenance with 3+ years of hands-on expertise. Webcam interviews only Position Overview Join the GIS team to drive the migration and long-term maintenance of a mature Hydrography Layer into the enterprise GIS environment. This role ensures seamless data stability ahead of ownership transition, focusing on complex multi-user operations, accuracy, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Execute data migration, including bulk and individual updates for the Hydrography Layer. Perform rigorous QA/QC processes to validate dataset integrity in enterprise settings. Develop cartographic products using ESRI software suite for visualization and analysis. Manage Linear Referencing System (LRS) tasks to support hydrography integration and referencing. Collaborate on enterprise integration, troubleshooting multi-user data maintenance challenges. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in data migration, QA/QC, cartography with ESRI tools, and linear referencing. Proven expertise in enterprise GIS datasets and multi-user environments. Strong understanding of hydrography data management and LRS systems. Excellent problem-solving skills for complex GIS operations.
