Video Editor – Freelance (Pathway to Long-Term Partnership) Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join on a freelance basis with a clear pathway to becoming a long-term strategic partner. This role focuses exclusively on editing high-quality short-form social content and polished long-form YouTube videos that drive engagement and reinforce brand authority.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn) optimized for maximum reach and platform performance.
- Produce full long-form YouTube videos (8–20+ minutes) with professional pacing, storytelling, and production value.
- Perform complete post-production: cuts, transitions, motion graphics, sound design, color grading, subtitles.
- Transform raw footage into scroll-stopping, high-retention videos aligned with brand voice and current trends.
- Collaborate with the content team to execute creative briefs and deliver assets on tight deadlines.
- Provide proactive creative input to elevate video quality and audience engagement.
- Repurpose existing recordings and interviews into polished final content.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience editing both short-form social videos and long-form YouTube content.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating technical excellence and trend-aware editing.
- Mastery of Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or Final Cut Pro (motion graphics experience preferred).
- Deep understanding of social media video algorithms, hooks, pacing, and virality.
- Ability to work independently, deliver high-quality work quickly, and maintain consistency under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and passion for storytelling through video.
