In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects within and across cross-functional teams. Your primary focus will be on developing efficient processes, executing effective strategies, and ensuring the timely completion of projects. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in product development. Collaborating closely with various teams, including product owners and scrum masters, to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget, maintaining a high level of quality and adherence to organizational objectives. How You'll Contribute: Provide managerial and technical oversight to one or more cross-functional engineering teams, including: Provide performance coaching and technical coordination Requirement clarification Identify development best practices Validate work accuracy and adherence to compliance controls Identify training needs and talent development opportunities Inter and cross-teams dependency coordination Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to gather requirements Collaborate with scrum master to deliver projects on time and within budget Participate in release planning meetings What We're Looking For: Proven work experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role in an Agile environment Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems Effective communication skills for overseeing engineers and working with other management personnel. Effective communications to achieve team and business objectives Detail-oriented for understanding complex systems and the ability to pay attention to details Broad technical knowledge across relevant cross-functional tech domains – Front-end (Angular/Typescript), Backend (Kotlin), QA and QA automations Basic Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven track record of delivering fast-paced complex features/products Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional, cross-organization teams to assemble project plans, secure commitments on deliverables, and lead the resolution of blocking issues People management experience, managing engineers Demonstrated passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high-quality, innovative, and robust solutions. Experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) new and existing systems Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent) Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment In-depth hands-on understanding of at least one relevant tech domain – Front-end (Angular/Typescript), Backend (Kotlin), QA and QA automations Ability to analyze business requirements, write specifications, scope technical requirements, drive solution design across organizational boundaries, manage multiple software development efforts, establish rigorous testing standards and success metrics. Experience with Deployment and Management software like Gitlab Experience designing and building customer facing products Experience building large scale distributed systems Compensation: Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $200,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $230,000/year plus bonus in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
