[Remote] Business Immigration Paralegal

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Corporate Immigration Partners, PC is a nationally recognized immigration law firm known for delivering strategic, business-focused solutions. They are seeking a Business Immigration Paralegal to work under the close supervision of an Attorney and/or Case Manager, responsible for analyzing information and documents, and preparing immigration petitions and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective document intake: i.e., review documents for validity and sufficiently analyze immigration status based on documents provided during document collection
  • Be accountable for the heavy drafting and reviewing of immigration forms and letters based on the analysis of case details, documents, and individual qualifications, as per strict deadlines for a range of NIV, PERM and IV applications (end to end)
  • Applying strong attention to detail, ensure immigration petitions are prepared efficiently and accurately
  • Flag any potential/foreseeable case-related issues with Attorney in a timely manner
  • Draft responses to requests for evidence as guided
  • Utilize online immigration case tracking system to monitor case status and activities on a daily basis
  • Coordinate with Client Support Specialists the printing, scanning, and posting of cases and service requests
  • Respond to client communication requests – either via client contact, or directly with the foreign national
  • Prioritize daily workload based on fluctuating client deadlines, whilst maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Flag any ideas for process improvements and modifications to appropriate Attorney/Case Manager
  • Assist other team members with case or document preparation, as required
  • Contribute to positive team morale, even within a remote work environment

Skills

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree – highly desirable
  • At least 1 year of experience working as an Immigration Paralegal drafting employment-based petitions
  • Intermediate level proficiency with MS Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience working with a high volume of active and inactive cases at any one time
  • Experience communicating directly with (HR staff) and/or foreign nationals regarding case requirements, including work on key accounts/clients
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including spelling and grammar
  • Sharp eye for attention to detail to ensure consistent accuracy of work
  • Ability to follow due process, templates, and to adapt to evolving innovation within the Firm, and industry
  • Ability to collaborate with others as part of a team
  • You have excellent organizational skills and are able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize caseload

  • Experience with drafting petitions for a range of NIV cases preferred: H1B, L, TN, O-1 etc. and/or experience with drafting green card processes (I-140 and AOS), and end-to-end PERM applications preferred
  • You have genuine interest in US immigration, with a desire to treat clients & foreign nationals with respect and an empathetic approach
