Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Customer Retention & Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role you will act as a Retention Specialist, handling inbound calls from customers who are considering canceling their careerzynith services. Your mission is to listen, empathize, and transform potential churn into long‑term loyalty by offering tailored solutions, upselling relevant products, and demonstrating the undeniable value of careerzynith’s security ecosystem.

This is a remote, full‑time position that begins with an intensive, paid, on‑site training program at our Wichita, KS campus (8‑12 weeks). After training, you will work from a private, distraction‑free home office, equipped with a high‑speed wired internet connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Retention: Answer a high volume of inbound cancellation requests, identify root causes, and present customized retention offers that align with each customer’s needs.
  • Solution Selling: Proactively recommend additional careerzynith products—such as video doorbells, smart lighting, and advanced monitoring plans—to enhance the customer’s security posture.
  • De‑Escalation & Conflict Resolution: Apply empathy, active listening, and proven de‑escalation techniques to turn frustrated callers into satisfied advocates.
  • Accurate Documentation: Log every interaction in our CRM, noting key details, objections, and the outcome of each call to ensure data integrity and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly retention targets, while maintaining high first‑call resolution rates and low escalation percentages.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, technical support, and product teams to stay current on policy updates, new product launches, and competitive intelligence.
  • Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing coaching sessions, webinars, and certification programs to sharpen sales techniques and product expertise.
  • Tool Mastery: Navigate 10+ software tools—including billing platforms, contract management systems, and live chat utilities—to deliver swift, accurate solutions.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales‑oriented call‑center environment, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding retention and upsell goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high‑stress situations, maintain composure, and resolve objections with confidence.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude for quick calculations, discount negotiations, and billing adjustments.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, active listening, and the ability to convey complex technical concepts in plain language.
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 15 Mbps upload) and a dedicated, quiet workspace.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience selling or retaining customers in the home‑security, smart‑home, or telecommunications sectors.
  • Familiarity with contract interpretation, terms negotiation, and regulatory compliance in the security industry.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zendesk) and multi‑line telephony systems.
  • Certification in conflict resolution, negotiation, or sales methodologies (e.g., SPIN, Challenger).
  • Demonstrated commitment to personal development—participation in workshops, webinars, or industry conferences.

What You’ll Gain – Compensation, Benefits & Growth

Compensation: Starting at $18.00 /hr, with incremental $0.50 increases every 30 days until reaching $21.00 /hr after 180 days. Performance‑based bonuses and commission structures reward top achievers.

Training & Onboarding
