[Remote] DevOps Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Medecision is seeking an experienced DevOps / Platform Engineer to manage their Google Cloud Platform (GCP) foundation. This role is essential for ensuring secure and scalable API delivery while supporting operational readiness for FHIR integrations and AI-facing services.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain GCP infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and runtime environments for backend services and APIs
- Own and manage CI/CD processes, environment promotion, secrets management, infrastructure automation, and release reliability
- Implement comprehensive observability solutions including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards
- Support scalable hosting architectures for APIs, FHIR services, and MCP-enabled components using GCP-native services
- Manage IAM, network controls, security policies, and platform guardrails in collaboration with engineering leadership
- Drive improvements in reliability, deployment speed, recovery readiness, and production support practices
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-4 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or platform engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, IAM, VPC, logging, and monitoring
- Proven expertise with infrastructure as code, CI/CD automation, containerized workloads, and production operations
- Solid understanding of API gateways, authentication mechanisms, secret management, and platform security controls
- Experience supporting highly available backend services in production environments
- Excellent troubleshooting, automation, and collaboration skills
- Experience working in regulated industries or healthcare environments
- Familiarity with AI or agent-enabling infrastructure patterns and platforms
