Position Overview – Remote Live Chat Data Entry Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Remote Live Chat Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic Customer Insight & Analytics group. In this role, you will act as the bridge between our customers, product owners, and data engineering teams, ensuring that every piece of conversational data captured through live chat is accurately entered, enriched, and transformed into actionable intelligence. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with utility and product teams to gather, clarify, and document business requirements for live‑chat data capture.
  • Maintain and enhance the Voice of the Customer (VOC) pipeline, ensuring that raw chat transcripts are ingested into the core data platform with precision.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data models that support high‑volume statistical analysis and standardized metric definitions.
  • Leverage transformational technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, Python) to enable batch and real‑time analytics solutions that drive data quality and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for data handling, helping to streamline processes across the massive data ecosystem.
  • Drive the creation and automation of data pipelines, reducing manual effort and increasing operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Global Service Network (GSN) and Analytics Engineering Teams (AET) to prioritize, define, and monitor data for multiple use cases as part of the VOC “Stop‑to‑Quit” strategy.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, delivering incremental product improvements on a daily basis and ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • Conduct thorough testing, validation, and documentation of data transformations to guarantee integrity across all environments.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, proactively proposing solutions that enhance data reliability.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, and shell scripting in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with product managers and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospective analysis.
  • Proven track record of delivering high‑quality data solutions that meet stringent accuracy and performance standards.
