Role Overview – Remote Data Entry & IT Support Specialist (Part‑Time)

As a Remote Data Entry & IT Support Specialist at careerzynith, you will serve as a critical liaison between the airline’s crew members and its technology ecosystem. Working from the comfort of your home, you will provide first‑ and second‑level technical assistance, ensure accurate data capture, and help maintain the integrity of careerzynith’s internal systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Deliver prompt, courteous support for all careerzynith hardware and software, including laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Customer Care: Provide high‑quality on‑site and remote assistance to careerzynith crew members, ensuring their technology needs are met efficiently.
  • Ticket Management: Log, track, and prioritize support requests from initiation to resolution, adhering to careerzynith’s service‑level agreements.
  • System Monitoring: Conduct routine health checks on applications, networks, and devices to pre‑emptively identify potential issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge‑base articles and incident reports in line with careerzynith standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional IT teams—including infrastructure, security, and application development—to coordinate rollouts and resolve complex problems.
  • Escalation Handling: Aim for first‑contact resolution while escalating critical incidents to senior specialists when necessary.
  • Incident Response: Participate in emergency response drills, assisting with outage management and post‑incident analysis.
  • Travel Coordination: Based in Montego Bay, Jamaica, you will travel periodically to Kingston for on‑site training and team meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting modern operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux) or completion of an IT Fundamentals certification (e.g., Coursera IT for Everyone).
  • Hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting applications.
  • Ability to travel short‑term (up to ½ week) within Jamaica and the United States as required.
  • Valid travel documents permitting movement across Jamaica and the U.S.; eligibility to obtain a U.S. visa if needed.
  • Proficiency with remote‑desktop and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, VPN clients).
  • Legal authorization to work in the country of assignment; this role does not provide visa sponsorship.
