Responsibilities

As a Remote Pharmacy Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Accurately reviewing, interpreting, and entering patient medication information into our PC system, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Calculating dosages, assigning directions, and processing insurance payments with precision and efficiency.
  • Communicating with pharmacies and insurance agencies to verify order accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Handling patient calls to clarify medication requests and reorders, verifying benefits and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Collaborating with our team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician License, which is required for this position.
  • At least 6 months of experience working in a pharmacy setting, where you have developed strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of pharmacy operations.
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web browsing, and email.
  • Strong keyboarding skills and the ability to work efficiently with minimal errors.
  • The ability to sit or stand for extended periods (8-10 hours), with regular breaks to maintain your physical and mental well-being.

While not required, the following experiences will be highly valued:

  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician, where you have honed your clinical skills and developed a deep understanding of pharmacy operations.
  • Experience handling and resolving customer inquiries via phone, where you have demonstrated exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with healthcare, benefits, and insurance, where you have developed a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its complexities.
  • Experience with medical billing, coding, or clinical support roles, where you have demonstrated your ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service experience in an office environment, where you have developed strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with inbound and outbound telephone customer care, where you have demonstrated your ability to handle multiple calls and prioritize tasks effectively.
