Remote Senior Penetration Tester

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Penetration Tester to join their elite cybersecurity team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to leverage your expertise in offensive security from anywhere in the US. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and providing actionable recommendations to strengthen the organization's security posture. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of attack vectors, exploitation techniques, and security tools, along with a passion for ethical hacking and a commitment to continuous learning. You will play a critical role in proactively identifying and mitigating security risks. Responsibilities: Plan, scope, and execute penetration tests against web applications, networks, cloud environments, and mobile applications. Identify and exploit security vulnerabilities, including but not limited to SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), authentication bypass, and misconfigurations. Conduct thorough vulnerability research and stay updated on the latest threats and attack methodologies. Perform social engineering tests to assess human vulnerabilities. Develop detailed and accurate reports of findings, including clear explanations of risks and prioritized remediation steps. Collaborate with security engineering and development teams to validate fixes and ensure effective vulnerability management. Develop and maintain penetration testing tools and scripts. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior penetration testers. Contribute to the development and improvement of the penetration testing program and methodologies. Present findings and recommendations to technical teams and senior management. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (OSCP, CEH, CISSP) are highly preferred. 5+ years of hands-on experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment. Demonstrated expertise in network penetration testing, web application security, and cloud security assessments. Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux. Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and manage complex projects in a remote environment.
