[Remote] Senior Project Manager - Data Centers

Irving Knight Group is a general contractor specializing in data center construction, and they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale data center projects across the United States. The role involves overseeing all phases of project execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale data center projects from preconstruction through project completion
- Manage overall project scope, schedule, budget, and execution strategy
- Oversee project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure successful delivery
- Develop and maintain project schedules, cost controls, and forecasting
- Coordinate closely with owners, design teams, engineers, and field leadership
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Proactively identify and resolve risks, conflicts, and constructability issues
- Lead project meetings, maintain clear communication, and provide regular status updates to internal and external stakeholders
- Review contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, and pay applications
- Support procurement and buyout efforts for major scopes of work
- Drive accountability across all phases of execution to meet critical project milestones
- Mentor and support project team members to promote professional growth and operational excellence
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
- 10+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction
- Proven experience delivering large-scale data center or mission-critical projects for a general contractor
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, structural, and commissioning coordination on complex projects
- Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar construction projects
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling software
- Ability to travel as needed across the United States
- Experience working on hyperscale or mission-critical data center environments
- Background managing projects with aggressive schedules and high levels of technical complexity
- Familiarity with fast-track delivery methods and complex stakeholder coordination
- Experience leading teams in a self-perform or subcontractor-heavy environment
