REMOTE - Sr. Full-Stack Developer (Ruby on Rails/React) - CONTRACT

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Senior Full-Stack Developer Consultant for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Education clients in New Mexico. Developer Skills We are seeking qualified resources to provide analysis, evaluation, and comprehensive re-development services for multiple internally developed custom applications. Several high-priority systems were originally built on Rails 7; therefore, proposed resources must demonstrate expertise with these technologies or present a clearly defined methodology for successfully converting existing Rails applications into Full-Stack React solutions. The selected contractor shall design and implement solutions using a modern microservice architecture, emphasizing scalability, maintainability, and standardized code reusability practices. All web applications shall be containerized utilizing Kubernetes to support consistent deployment and operational efficiency within a GitLab-based CI/CD environment aligned with the University's long-term technology strategy. The developer shall also develop and document an Integration Ethos API pipeline to ensure secure, reliable system interoperability. Ethos API is the Ellucian ERP API for pipeline development. Comprehensive test plans and quality assurance procedures must be established and executed for all applications which requires a test harness for unit and integration tests. All deliverables shall comply with the firm's standards, include complete technical and user documentation, and be delivered with full source code and related artifacts. Please note that we would like two resources to possess these skills and to work on the first phase of projects under the supervision of the Software Development & Integration Manager. Phase 1 Project List includes:

• UAR Collect - UAR Collections
• MyPayrollGift - allows employees to create a gift through their payroll deductions.
• HR Eval - annual employee performance evaluation, feedback, and goal setting application
• Tuition Waiver - Employees request and authorization for the benefit of tuition remission through a tuition waiver. This waiver is for employees, spouses, and dependents.
• Dependent Tuition Waiver (TW DEP)
• Vote - application used for different voting processes on campus.

There are multiple custom applications that have been built using PHP, Classic ASP and .net. These applications will be considered a second phase of projects and may require different resource skills if the current is not familiar with these technologies. Therefore, the skill set needed is:

• Experience with developing Web applications using current tools and methodologies. Understanding of Rails.
• Experience with React, Next.js, and Node.js frameworks.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle from concept and design to testing.
• Experience building and maintaining high performing, scalable, enterprise-class applications in a GITLAB CI/CD environment.
• Proven ability to design and develop Web based applications in a project driven environment.
• Experience with Oracle relational databases
• Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL standards
• Experience with general Web architecture, such as browsers, and application servers
• Experience with integration frameworks and creating standards for integration.
• Experience with application containers
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
