Work from home Full-time role Hiring

About careerzynith

careerzynith is a forward-thinking, data-driven organization committed to transforming how healthcare information is collected, processed, and leveraged to improve outcomes across the industry. We partner with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to build modern data ecosystems that drive smarter decisions and measurable impact. Our culture is rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and a relentless focus on delivering high-quality insights at scale.

At careerzynith, we believe that well-engineered data pipelines and thoughtful analytics architecture are the backbone of healthcare innovation. We are looking for an experienced Senior Analytics Engineer to join our growing data and insights team. This role is perfect for a technically accomplished engineer who thrives at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and healthcare domain knowledge, and who wants to shape the future of healthcare reporting and intelligence at careerzynith.

Position Summary

As a Senior Analytics Engineer at careerzynith, you will collaborate closely with internal IT, information design, and examination groups to build, maintain, and continuously improve the data infrastructure that powers automated reporting and advanced analytics across our healthcare quality improvement programs. You will play a central role in delivering commercial-grade data and knowledge products that serve stakeholders across the business.

You will work side-by-side with a cross-functional team of data analysts, BI engineers, systems administrators, and end-user data consumers to deliver actionable performance insights that directly influence the strategic direction of careerzynith. This is a senior individual contributor role with leadership expectations — you will provide technical direction, mentor peers, and partner with leaders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Data and Insights Initiatives: Direct the end-to-end delivery of data and insights programs and projects across careerzynith. Support both long-term and ad-hoc data ETL/ELT and data warehousing activities to consistently meet reporting and analytics expectations.
  • Design Layered Data Architectures: Plan, develop, and deploy layered databases and scalable data pipelines that support enterprise reporting and advanced analytics use cases.
  • Build Data Modeling Standards: Establish and enforce data staging and preprocessing standards for populating logical and physical data models tied to report-specific working tables, serving both enterprise business intelligence and predefined reporting solutions.
  • Apply Modern ETL/ELT Best Practices: Extract, transform, and integrate large datasets from a variety of internal careerzynith production systems and third-party sources, applying industry best practices for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Perform Data Profiling and Analysis: Conduct rigorous data profiling and exploratory analysis across internal production systems, manually maintained datasets, and standard healthcare datasets (e.g., member eligibility, medical claims, pharmacy claims, HEDIS ECDS files).
  • Automate Development Workflows: Build internal tools and automation frameworks that streamline development-related activities, including data processing, quality assurance, and data validation.
  • Drive Thought Leadership: Provide thought leadership and present tool-agnostic semantic data layer improvements tied to leading BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Communicate Effectively: Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for technical teams, internal stakeholders, clients, and vendor partners through both written and verbal communication.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience writing and tuning SQL-based ETL/ELT scripts in production environments.
  • Experience designing and deploying logically separated data environments using modern ETL/ELT services such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or Snowflake.
  • Proven ability to provide thought leadership and introduce semantic data layer improvements on BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical teams, internal partners, clients, and vendor collaborators.
  • At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decision-making within a professional workplace.
  • At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team management experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes, including in-state and out-of-state travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data Management Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) credential or equivalent certification.
  • Experience working with pharmacy, healthcare, and clinical analytics concepts.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data standards, regulatory requirements, and quality measurement frameworks.
  • Exposure to data governance, metadata management, and master data management practices.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development.

Skills and Competencies for Success

  • Deep technical proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and modern cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to data quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing competing priorities.
  • A continuous learning attitude with a passion for staying current on data engineering and analytics trends.
