Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Customer Supply Chain is the strategic partner for careerzynith’s key retail customers. You will own the end‑to‑end experience that ensures products are available when and where customers expect them, while simultaneously driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. This role blends analytical rigor, relationship management, and project leadership to translate market demand into reliable inventory, on‑time deliveries, and seamless promotional execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer‑Centric Project Leadership: Serve as the single point of contact for careerzynith’s retail partners, steering cross‑functional projects that enhance supply‑chain efficiency, reduce costs, and increase fill‑rate.
  • Strategic Retail Collaboration: Build deep, data‑driven relationships with key retailers, understanding their distribution strategies, success metrics, and seasonal calendars to align supply‑chain plans.
  • Demand Forecasting & Planning: Partner with demand‑planning, sales, and marketing teams to develop accurate forecasts, incorporate promotional and innovation launches, and communicate insights to customers.
  • Performance Analytics: Produce weekly and monthly KPI dashboards (in‑stock, fill‑rate, on‑time delivery, charge‑back risk) using Excel, PowerPoint, NetSuite, and Tableau to drive decision‑making.
  • Risk Identification & Mitigation: Monitor inventory levels, sales velocity, and supply constraints to proactively flag potential stock‑outs and coordinate corrective actions with internal stakeholders.
  • Onboarding & Expansion: Lead the onboarding of new retail partners, ensuring seamless integration of order‑processing, logistics, and data exchange protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, implement best‑practice standards, and champion the “careerzynith way” across the organization.
  • Cross‑Functional Influence: Work closely with finance, operations, marketing, and product development to align supply‑chain initiatives with broader business objectives.
  • Travel & Field Support: Travel across the EMEA region as needed to support retailer visits, joint business planning sessions, and on‑site problem solving.

Essential Qualifications

  • Fluent in German and English with a minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG or beauty supply‑chain management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related analytical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Proven track record of building and nurturing relationships with key retail customers, delivering measurable improvements in service levels.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and data‑visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and drive cross‑functional initiatives without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present complex data to executive audiences.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable operating in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments where processes are evolving.
  • Self‑starter who can manage a dynamic workload, prioritize competing demands, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the region (up to 30 % of the time).

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Experience

  • Experience working in a startup or high‑growth company where you helped shape supply‑chain processes from the ground up.
  • Exposure to NetSuite or other ERP systems for order management and inventory control.
  • Background in retail merchandising, assortment planning, or category management.
  • Certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent.
  • Multilingual abilities beyond German and English (e.g., French, Spanish) are a plus.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to translate raw data into actionable insights that improve supply‑chain performance.
  • Relationship Management: Skilled at building trust with external partners and internal stakeholders alike.
  • Project Management: Expertise in planning, executing, and closing projects on time and within scope.
  • Problem Solving: Comfortable navigating ambiguity, making decisions with limited data, and iterating quickly.
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive storytelling for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Technology Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, macros), and familiarity with data‑visualization platforms.
  • Customer‑First Mentality: Commitment to delivering best‑in‑class service and exceeding retailer expectations.
