Senior Medical Writer, Medical Affairs

The Senior Medical Writer will play a key role in developing high‑quality scientific content for medical affairs audiences, supporting client communications strategy, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, engaging, and strategically aligned scientific content, including:
• Scientific slide decks
• Medical affairs training materials
• Advisory board content
• Scientific narratives and messaging
• Congress materials (posters, abstracts, slides)
• Literature reviews and evidence summaries
• Interpret and communicate clinical and scientific data in a clear and compelling manner.
• Ensure all content adheres to scientific accuracy, regulatory requirements, and applicable guidelines (e.g., GPP, ICMJE).
• Partner with account leads and subject matter experts to support medical affairs strategy and communication priorities.
• Incorporate feedback from clients and internal reviewers efficiently and effectively.
• Contribute scientific expertise to internal brainstorms, project kickoffs, and planning discussions.
• Manage timelines, deliver high‑quality work within deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Participate in client calls and serve as a scientific resource for assigned accounts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical writing experience within a medical communications agency or similar scientific communications setting.
• Advanced scientific degree strongly preferred (PhD, PharmD, MD, or relevant MS).
• Demonstrated experience working with clinical data and developing medical affairs deliverables.
• Strong understanding of clinical research, therapeutic landscapes, and evidence-based communication.
• Exceptional writing, editing, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality.
• Comfortable collaborating across remote teams and interacting with clients.
• A proactive, team‑oriented mindset and a commitment to scientific rigor.
