careerzynith is a global leader in cloud infrastructure, delivering the most reliable, secure, and scalable networking solutions to millions of customers worldwide. Our mission is to empower businesses of every size to innovate faster, reduce operational costs, and achieve unprecedented performance through cutting‑edge technology. As part of careerzynith Web Services (AWS), we operate one of the largest, most complex networks on the planet, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in software‑defined networking (SDN) and hyper‑scale data center environments.

Why This Role Matters

In a world where digital transformation is no longer optional, the ability to adapt network resources in real time is a competitive advantage. At careerzynith, we are obsessed with our customers – we listen, we respond, and we innovate. By joining our team, you will directly influence how billions of requests are routed, how data centers scale, and how security incidents are mitigated, all while reducing cost and improving reliability for our customers.

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Development Engineer who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑impact environments. This remote, part‑time position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to mission‑critical services that power the careerzynith network. You will design, build, and maintain large‑scale distributed systems, develop intelligent algorithms that react to real‑world events, and mentor the next generation of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect & Own Services: Design and own multiple high‑throughput services, ensuring they scale horizontally, are fault‑tolerant, and include comprehensive unit tests and observability metrics.
  • Customer‑Centric Development: Partner with internal and external stakeholders to translate business needs into clear software requirements, technical specifications, and execution roadmaps.
  • Feature Delivery: Deliver high‑quality features on schedule and within budget, adhering to agile project plans and rigorous delivery commitments.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Guide junior engineers, lead design and code reviews, and champion best practices in software engineering, security, and performance optimization.
  • Continuous Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging technologies, evaluate their relevance, and drive adoption across the team to keep careerzynith at the forefront of networking innovation.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and automated remediation to maintain the highest standards of availability, security, and cost efficiency.

A Day in the Life

  • Architect, design, implement, test, and deploy new features that enhance the scalability and availability of careerzynith’s global network.
  • Analyze telemetry data to identify cost‑saving opportunities and propose architectural refinements.
  • Apply rigorous security standards to both code and operational processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop dashboards and analytics that provide deep insight into service health, enabling proactive issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including product managers, data scientists, and operations—to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Mentor peers through pair‑programming sessions, technical workshops, and informal knowledge‑sharing forums.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, excluding internships.
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Rust, C++, Python, Java) with a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the design or architecture of large‑scale, highly available systems, including the use of design patterns, reliability engineering, and scaling techniques.
  • Track record of mentoring or leading engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Full‑stack experience across the software development lifecycle: coding standards, code reviews, source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production operations.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern programming languages such as Rust, C++, Python, or Java, especially in the context of networking or distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with software‑defined networking (SDN), network virtualization, or cloud infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), microservices architectures, and cloud‑native design principles.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, and performance optimization.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to dissect complex problems, propose elegant solutions, and iterate quickly based on feedback.
  • Communication: Clear, concise articulation of technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in distributed, remote teams, leveraging tools such as Git, Slack, and video conferencing.
  • Ownership Mentality: Proactive attitude toward taking responsibility for end‑to‑end delivery, from concept through production support.
  • Security Focus: Commitment to embedding security best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Mentorship from senior architects who have built some of the world’s most resilient networking services.
  • Technical conferences, workshops, and certifications (e.g., CNCF, Cloud Security Alliance) fully funded by careerzynith.
  • Opportunities to lead high‑visibility projects that directly impact global customers.
  • A clear career ladder that supports progression from senior engineer to principal engineer, engineering manager, or specialist architect.
