Social Media & Content Manager for Anime Jewelry Brand

Role Overview We are hiring a Social Media Manager to lead growth, content, and community management for our fast-growing Australia-based anime-inspired jewelry and accessories brand. You will manage organic posting, engagement, and account growth across core and secondary social channels while keeping the brand aesthetic clean, personal, and artist-led. This role is best suited for someone who understands organic growth, writes in a human voice, and knows how to build real community around a niche brand. This role is best suited for someone with strong hands-on experience in social media content creation, short-form storytelling, organic growth, and fandom-aware brand building. You should understand how to make content feel platform-native, emotionally engaging, and visually polished without losing authenticity. This is not a virtual assistant or admin support role. We are specifically looking for someone with real experience creating content, growing accounts organically, and building strong social brand presence. Administrative-only social media support experience will not be considered.

About the Role

As Social Media & Content Manager, you will lead the day-to-day execution and growth of the brand across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, and Reddit. Your focus will be on: creating and publishing strong social content growing audiences organically building meaningful community engagement maintaining a consistent visual and brand voice adapting trends into content that feels authentic to anime and fandom culture Success in this role means understanding both content performance and brand identity. You should know how to create content that feels native to each platform while still maintaining a clean and recognizable brand presence. What You’ll Do Plan and maintain a strategic content calendar across multiple social platforms. Create, source, edit, and publish social content that feels polished, engaging, and platform-native. Develop short-form content ideas, hooks, captions, and post concepts aligned with the brand voice. Write captions and social copy in a warm, personal, founder-led tone rather than a corporate voice. Identify trends, sounds, memes, and content formats early, then adapt them naturally to the brand. Manage and grow the brand’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, and Reddit. Engage daily with fans through comments, DMs, replies, and community interactions. Analyze performance metrics and adjust content direction based on engagement, retention, saves, shares, and follower growth. Maintain a clean, visually cohesive social feed aligned with the brand aesthetic. Collaborate with the team on product launches, campaigns, promotions, and creator content opportunities. Help turn audience insights, fandom trends, and customer behavior into repeatable content ideas. What We’re Looking For 3 to 7 years of experience in social media management and content creation. Proven success growing a brand or creator account organically to at least 10,000 followers. Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form content strategy. Experience creating social media content for e-commerce, fashion, accessories, lifestyle, fandom, or creator-led brands. Strong visual judgment and understanding of social-first content formats. Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write in a natural, personal, and emotionally engaging voice. Experience using tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express, Premiere Pro, or similar content editing tools. Strong understanding of engagement, retention, saves, shares, hooks, and organic growth signals. Ability to work independently and maintain consistent execution in a remote environment. Available at least 5 days per week. Committed to a long-term role. Portfolio, social accounts, or content examples required. Nice-to-Haves Strong understanding of internet culture, fandom audiences, or passion-based communities. Interest in anime/manga is a major plus. Experience managing business accounts with 100,000+ combined followers. Familiarity with anime culture and franchises such as Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Genshin Impact, and similar fandoms. Previous experience working with high-revenue e-commerce, jewelry, fashion, or creator-led brands. Experience with handcrafted, artist-led, fandom-based, or niche products. Experience managing platform-native communities across TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, or X.
