Company: Veloxis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Job Description: The Director, Field Access is responsible for leading the Field Access Manager (FAM) Team in its support of supporting patient access in infectious disease. The FAM team educates accounts on effective and efficient processes that maximize patients’ access to prescribed product(s) and supports HCPs throughout the enrollment and access process. A key objective of the incumbent is to lead the FAM team in building account confidence in patient access through education around the access journey, payer coverage landscape, transitions of care and all appropriate access resources. The incumbent has experience leading a team that spans large geographies and addresses a variety of patient access challenges in both the office and hospital settings. Additionally, cross-functional coordination and collaboration internally with Market Access, Sales, Marketing, and all Patient Support Services are essential for this role. The base compensation range for this role is $230-260K. Base Compensation is influenced by many factors including, but not limited to: time in the role, previous experience, skills, knowledge, performance, work requirements, internal equity, and business / economic conditions. Summary of Key Responsibilities Builds a FAM Team for the Company’s new brand launch in the infectious disease space. Works with leadership to determine appropriate staffing recommendations and geography alignments. Partners with Patient Access and Market Access Marketing to ensure appropriate training resources and HCP facing materials are available. Coaches, motivates, and leads FAMs to achieve goals and objectives with a focus on accountability, results, and collaboration. Ensures the Field Access team maintains compliant behaviors as related to HIPAA/patient privacy and accurate documentation in the CRM system, including identifying and providing such training to the team, as well as ensures the FAM team conducts their activities in accordance with Company and industry. regulations, including compliance with applicable laws. Partners with Field Sales, HUB/Patient Services, Market Access, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure compliant communication, collaboration, and coordination in support of patient access to therapy. Develops strategies and processes, in partnership with cross-functional teams, to overcome access barriers in a compliant manner. Evaluates needs and leads development of patient access resources to better educate accounts. Provides relevant and timely performance updates to senior leadership. Establishes and maintains knowledge on the local and national payer landscape including formulary coverage policies for company product(s). Works closely with the National Account Management (NAM)/Payer Relations team to develop and support execution of medication access strategies to support access to the Company’s products. Maintains thorough knowledge of Company products and patient support programs and supports ongoing enhancements to the patient support programs that align to the needs of our customers. Participates in and helps facilitate national and regional meetings and training. Attracts, hires, and retains high-performing individuals. Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in science, business, healthcare, or related field; advanced degree preferred Minimum of 10 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech with a strong focus on medication access and patient support services within infectious disease supporting access in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Additional background in HIV & Oncology is preferred. 5+ years’ experience as a manager with proven ability to motivate, coach, lead, and execute strategy Deep payer policy knowledge including public and private payers, expert knowledge of benefit verifications and prior authorization requirements, and knowledge of reimbursement processes within various sites of care Proven track record of developing and successfully executing medication access strategies Patient-centric and service-oriented mindset Strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills with a history of building and maintaining key stakeholder relationship Detail oriented and highly organized Budget planning and management Flexible, innovative, ability to solve problems and multi-task effectively Team orientated with proven experience compliantly partnering with commercial sales, market access, and other stakeholders Successful experience in fast-paced ever-changing environment Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) Familiarity with compliance standards and legal requirements for product manufacturers Ability to manage a large territory and national travel up to 60% including overnights #LI-AS1 As an equal opportunity employer, Asahi Kasei believes a diverse workforce will provide us with the ability to continuously support the changes in the economy, society, and environment.
