Fully Remote Occupational Therapist (MO Licensed)

Join the TeleSesh team! We are hiring a part-time remote Occupational Therapist for the remainder of the 26-27 school year. We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to enhance our special education services through virtual means, ensuring students receive the support and resources they need to thrive. Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide remote services to K-12 students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating occupational therapy needs. This role requires strong collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support students’ physical goals. Hours are 10-15 per week, M-F from 8am-4pm, with the option to grow caseload. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate functional and developmental disorders. - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and establish achievable goals for students. - Provide direct therapy services in individual settings to meet caseload minutes as per IEP requirements. - Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to discuss student progress and adjust intervention strategies. - Write detailed reports and maintain records of students' progress and therapy sessions. - Advise and train educational staff on how to observe, monitor, and facilitate students' motor and functional skills. - Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with new therapies and technologies pertinent to occupational therapy. Qualifications: - Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field. - Valid Missouri state license in Occupational Therapy - Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred. - Strong understanding of the principles and practices of occupational therapy applicable to a K-12 educational setting. Skills: - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school staff. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team to foster an engaging and supportive educational environment. - Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. - Comfort with technology and proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for remote education and communication.
