The Part‑Time Remote Data Entry Analyst position sits at the heart of careerzynith’s Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Revenue Management team. This team is responsible for the largest source of revenue for careerzynith – merchant discount revenue. By accurately capturing, analyzing, and reporting rebate data, you will directly influence the profitability of our merchant relationships and help shape strategic decisions that drive growth across North America.

Role Overview

As a Data Entry Analyst, you will work remotely, collaborating with cross‑functional teams across Canada and the United States. You will be tasked with transforming raw transaction data into actionable insights, maintaining scorecards, and supporting audits that ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. This role offers a unique blend of meticulous data handling, analytical problem‑solving, and stakeholder communication, all within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Capture & Validation: Enter merchant rebate data into careerzynith’s proprietary systems with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monthly Performance Tracking: Generate and maintain Canada‑specific merchant rebate revenue reports, comparing actual results against forecasts and highlighting key drivers of variance.
  • Scorecard Development: Build and update merchant rebate revenue scorecards for the Canada region, ensuring they reflect the latest performance metrics.
  • Cross‑Team Normalization: Coordinate with other regional pricing teams to standardize data definitions and reporting processes, fostering consistency across the organization.
  • Audit Support: Assist internal and external auditors by investigating discrepancies, preparing documentation, and communicating findings to the relevant pricing groups.
  • Ad‑hoc Analysis: Conduct on‑the‑fly data investigations to identify rebate rate trends, uncover hidden insights, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with merchant relationship managers, finance analysts, and technology teams to resolve data issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Process Enhancement: Propose and implement enhancements to data entry workflows, leveraging automation tools where appropriate to increase efficiency.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial services, payments industry, or a related finance role.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros.
  • Demonstrated ability to build complex financial models and extract value‑added insights from large data sets.
