Role Description HomeCalls is seeking an experienced Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager to lead and optimize paid search campaigns across the home and auto insurance verticals. This is a flexible remote position responsible for managing large-scale paid search initiatives across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising. The ideal candidate has deep experience generating inbound insurance calls and leads through high-performing PPC campaigns and understands how to optimize toward both lead quality and profitability. Responsibilities include

  • Developing and executing paid search strategies
  • Managing campaign structure, bidding, budgets, and optimization
  • Conducting keyword and competitive research
  • Analyzing conversion and call performance data
  • Scaling profitable campaigns while maintaining efficiency targets
  • Collaborating with internal teams on landing pages, tracking, compliance, and routing strategies
  • Staying current on trends, platform changes, and competitive dynamics within insurance paid search

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of dedicated paid search experience within the home and auto insurance verticals
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising campaigns
  • Strong understanding of inbound call generation and lead acquisition strategies
  • Advanced keyword research and campaign optimization skills
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and make data-driven decisions
  • Experience managing significant advertising budgets and performance KPIs
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Previous experience in insurance, lead generation marketing strongly preferred
  • Experience managing monthly ad spend of $100k+ preferred
  • Experience with call tracking platforms such as Ringba preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
